Dare to make your dreams come true

Voyages Audacia is an independent travel agency based in Thetford Mines. We're not trying to book as many trips as possible. We're trying to book yours as if it were the only one.

Behind Audacia

Audrey Blanchette, founder

Audacia was founded by Audrey Blanchette. Before advising you, she spent 8 years in hospitality: she knows travel from the other side of the counter. Since then, she has organized more than 700 trips. She can help you in French, English and Spanish.

“Long before I became a travel advisor, I was the one who always had a next destination in mind.”

I love discovering a place, taking the time to get to know it, connecting with the people who live there and coming home with memories that go beyond photos.

My journey has taken me from the mountains of British Columbia to the Colombian islands, by way of the Caribbean, Europe, Africa and the Indian Ocean. I've travelled solo with a backpack, stayed in luxury hotels and spent several weeks in some destinations to see them beyond a short stay.

How we work

What changes when you travel with us

Before you leave

We listen first, then suggest. You get options chosen for you, not a list of packages.

During your trip

An unexpected event, a changed flight, a room that isn't what you booked? Write to us and we'll take care of it.

After you return

We contact you 1 to 2 days after you get back to hear how it went. Not to sell you the next trip, but to listen.

If something goes wrong

We prepare and follow up on your claims with suppliers on your behalf, from start to finish.

Our commitments

Transparency

We tell you what we recommend and why, even when it isn't the most expensive option.

You come first

Every decision starts with a simple question: what's best for you?

Audrey's travels, in her own words

Colombia · 2023

A trip that changed everything

In January 2023, after five days in Miami, I bought a one-way ticket to Santa Marta. I left alone, with my backpack and no set itinerary. What was supposed to be a short trip turned into three months exploring Colombia.

Santa Marta, Taganga, Minca, Cartagena, Medellín, San Andrés and Providencia were all part of the adventure. I learned Spanish, discovered scuba diving and fell in love with the freedom of travelling at my own pace.

This trip holds a special place in my story. It gave me confidence in my ability to travel alone, adapt and make room for the unexpected.

A destination I know up close

The Dominican Republic has become one of my favourite destinations. I've spent more than 15 weeks there over my travels, including a stay of nearly two months in Punta Cana, from January to February 2026.

These stays, combined with hotel visits and inspections, shape the advice I give my clients. They help me explain the differences between resorts and help each traveller choose based on what they're looking for.

In 2026, I took part in familiarization trips to Kenya and Cartagena, where I stayed at Dreams Karibana Cartagena. I've also stayed at Paradisus La Perla on the Riviera Maya.

Scuba diving and freediving

PADI-certified in scuba diving and AIDA-certified in freediving, I also love discovering destinations underwater. This passion is part of the way I travel and what I look for when I explore new places.

Dreaming of diving on your vacation? I can advise you on the best dive sites and the hotels that suit them.

Why Voyages Audacia?

I created Voyages Audacia to bring together my hospitality experience, my love of travel and my desire to offer truly attentive service.

For me, good advice starts with listening: understanding your budget, your wishes, your pace and what will make the difference for you. It also means honest recommendations, careful preparation and follow-up when you get back.

“My wish is to give you the confidence to make your travel plans happen, whether it's relaxing in the sun, discovering a new culture or daring to try something you've been putting off for a long time.”
