Privacy policy
Your trust matters more than anything. Here, in plain words, is how I collect, use, protect and keep your personal information.
Last updated: October 30, 2026
1. Who we are
Voyages Audacia inc. is a travel agency holding a Québec licence (no. 703800), founded and run by Audrey Blanchette.
This policy applies to the voyagesaudacia.ca website, to our exchanges by email, phone and Messenger, and to any booking made through me. It is written in accordance with Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.
2. Person in charge of the protection of personal information
The person in charge of the protection of personal information at Voyages Audacia is:
You can contact her with any question, access request or complaint about your personal information.
3. The information I collect
I only collect the information needed to plan and book your trip, or to answer your request.
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Contact details | Last name, first name, email, phone number, address |
| Travel preferences | Destinations, dates, budget, number of travellers, type of accommodation, interests |
| Traveller identity | Name as it appears on the passport, date of birth, sex, citizenship, passport number and expiry date (only when a carrier or country requires it) |
| Payment information | Sent directly to the tour operator or supplier for payment. I don't keep full credit card numbers. |
| Sensitive information, if applicable | Medical needs, reduced mobility, allergies or dietary restrictions, only if you share them with me to adapt your trip or insurance |
| Information about minors | Name and date of birth of travelling children, provided by their parent or guardian |
| Technical website data | IP address and browser information automatically sent to the services that display the site (see section 7) |
I collect this information directly from you: through the website forms, by email, by phone, on Messenger or in person. When you give me information about other travellers (spouse, friends, children), you confirm that you have their consent or parental authority to do so.
4. Why I use your information
- To answer your questions and prepare travel proposals;
- To make your bookings (flights, accommodation, packages, excursions, transfers, insurance);
- To send you your travel documents and inform you of any schedule or booking change;
- To support you before, during and after your trip;
- To meet my legal obligations, including the record-keeping required of travel advisors in Québec;
- Only with your separate consent: to send you my offers and news by email. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of each email.
I don't use your information for any other purpose without your consent, unless the law allows it. I never sell or rent your personal information.
5. Who your information is shared with
To book your trip, I must share some information with the companies providing the services. They only receive what is necessary:
- Tour operators and wholesalers (for example vacation package and tour suppliers);
- Carriers: airlines, rail, cruise and car rental companies;
- Accommodation and excursion or transfer suppliers;
- Travel insurers, if you buy insurance through me;
- My work tools: Google Workspace (email and documents), Netlify (website hosting and form submissions) and Meta (Messenger), when you choose to contact me that way.
Government and border authorities may also receive some information from carriers (for example passenger data required to enter a country). I may also disclose information when required by law or in an emergency involving your safety.
6. Information shared outside Québec
By the very nature of travel, your information is often shared outside Québec: foreign hotels and carriers, international booking systems, and the servers of my work tools, located notably in Canada and the United States.
Before entrusting information to a supplier outside Québec, I assess whether it protects it adequately, as required by law. When you book a trip abroad, sharing certain information with suppliers at the destination is necessary to carry out the trip.
7. Cookies and third-party services on the site
The voyagesaudacia.ca website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. To display, it uses the following services, which receive your IP address and technical information about your browser:
- Google Fonts, for fonts;
- Unsplash and some tour operators (for example Sunwing), for destination and hotel photos;
- Netlify, the website host, which keeps technical security logs and receives the forms you fill out.
If I ever add an audience measurement tool or an advertising pixel (for example Meta or Google Analytics), this policy will be updated and your consent will be requested before they are activated.
8. How I protect your information
- Limited access: only the Voyages Audacia team consults your files;
- Accounts protected by strong passwords and two-step verification;
- Website protected by an encrypted connection (HTTPS);
- I will never ask for your full credit card number by Messenger or unsecured email.
In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, I will notify the people concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information, as required by law, and keep a register of incidents.
9. Retention period
I keep your information as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected, then for the period required by law, including travel agent regulations and tax laws. Requests that don't lead to a booking are deleted after 24 months. After that, your information is securely destroyed or anonymized.
10. Your rights
At any time, you can:
- Access the information I hold about you and get a copy;
- Have it corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous;
- Withdraw your consent to its use, subject to bookings already made and legal obligations;
- Request de-indexing or that dissemination of information about you stop, in the cases provided by law;
- Get your information in a structured, commonly used technological format (portability).
To exercise these rights, email audrey@voyagesaudacia.ca. I'll reply within 30 days. I may need to verify your identity before replying.
If you're not satisfied with my answer, you can file a complaint with Québec's Commission d'accès à l'information.
11. Changes
This policy may be updated, for example if I add a new tool or service. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page. If there is a significant change, I'll say so clearly on the site.
